about

Through Ariel Pink’s cover of Dean Friedman’s classic “Ariel” a young goofball named Darko the Super would first experience the stylings of his now favorite songwriter.

Darko reached out to Dean through the gutters of the internet, Twitter. It was there two forces would join to make the world and McDonald’s a much cooler place. Darko wrote his Big Mac attack version of McDonald’s Girl on a summer vacation with his sweetheart. Later on another brilliant idea struck the mind of that quarter pound brain of his. Listening to Daniel Johnston he heard the spoken word genius of a former McDonald’s employee, “he’s got McDonald’s on the brain it’s plain to see.” He got with his band The Hell Hole Store and the rest is magic. One hell of an intro plus a sample from the Internet Celebrities “Ghetto Big Mac” series, the remix was birthed from the McEther. Mastered by Memory Man and here for your enjoyment. Only a million calories.

lyrics

I ordered a Big Mac meal
I need a big phat deal
I got to the drive thru
My mind oozed out of it’s ears
There she was, covered in dreams, my thoughts disappeared
People are weird when you’re a weirdo
It’s as if she kissed my ear lobe
Here’s your nuggets and Dr Pepper
I’m lost forever in her eyes
I came back for a milkshake and fries
She made me melt all over the floor and come back for more
She said the milkshake machines broke
I told her that’s alright, I’ll have a cherry coke
An apple pie and a slice of hope
Will you go out with me please?
She left her number in my quarter pounder with cheese
Birds and the bees
I counted my lucky stars
Some couples meet at a bar
I met my soul mate sitting here in my car
Like Slick Rick
It was love in the drive thru not a picnic

She always comes home smelling like grease
I’ve found my peace
Double cheeseburger with those little onions
Bigger buns than my man Paul Bunyan
I’m telling Paul Barman that she’s the one?
A fun bash to tongue lash the sun
Light of my life
My McDonald’s wife
God made her with a McRib
Her specialty trick would be the McTwist
Fish filets and Hawaiian Punch for lunch
I lust for her touch so much I might just combust
Extra pickles don’t upset us
All we ask is that you let us
Coming into work with hickeys
Golden Arches in New York City
And I don’t write snack wraps
Used to be in the corner with the back pack
She taught me not to play the wall
Stand ten feet tall
Like XTC
I feel at home whenever she’s next to me
Even without the apron and the oven mitts
... I’m loving it!
